Marjolijn has been designing and developing South Africa immersions for international undergraduate and postgraduate students for over 15 years. Her interest is in learning that broadens perspectives and opens the door to shared value. She draws from the many inspiring examples in South Africa of new thinking at the interface of business and society and keeps insights fresh through her postdoctoral research on social enterprises.

Rael’s work spans academia, industry and public sector organisations, designing and developing innovation programmes aimed at creative confidence, management skills and entrepreneurial mindsets. He brings a human-centered design approach to challenge-based learning that results in real impact. Rael is a co-founder and Chief Learning Officer at Cartedo, an educational technology organisation focused on skills development for the future of work.

Max is an educator, speaker and researcher on technology, globalisation, marketing and cultural economics – from high level policy and strategy matters to practical how-to-skills. She creates social learning experiences, blending worlds (digital/realworld; business/doing good; privilege/need; art/science) in ways that make the learning fun, relevant and memorable.

In his unwavering pursuit of entrepreneurship development and community building, Leon brings an appreciation for the possibility of change, transformation and inclusion. He is a social enterpreneur at heart, and in practice, and has designed and facilitated out-of-classroom experiential learning for executives, young professionals, community leaders and youth for over 30 years.
